Further information

Join us on an adventure from the lowest bridge over the River Lyon (Comrie Bridge) to Aberfeldy. Most of this trip will be over the very scenic section of the mighty River Tay.

This adventure is aimed at paddlers who have done some flat water kayaking and want to get their first taste of moving water or more adventurous novices. Much of it is flat and flowing, but there some small rapids and river features which we will learn how to work our way down. We can use double kayaks for more stability if you are new, or single kayaks if you are looking to progress from flatwater.

We'll find somewhere to stop for short lunch. We'll look out for beaver, otter, and kingfisher on the river, and deer grazing on the river bank. Osprey is common on this stretch during the summer months.

This guided tour will be around 4 hours long. All paddling equipment will be provided. There is a selection of single and double kayaks to choose from depending on experience and weather conditions. The trip is suitable for those 12 years and older.

All that you need to bring is some warm clothes for the weather, including shoes you don’t mind getting wet. For younger explorers, we offer tours at alternative locations. Please get in touch for further details.

We will be in touch a few days before the trip with more detailed information, including the meeting point, chosen to suit us best for the weather conditions at the time. The cost is £75pp. If you bring your own, venue suitable boat, the cost is £55pp. If you have any specific dates or locations in mind that you don't see on our website, please contact us directly [email protected]
